Dracena

Dracena was formed in Gothenburg, Sweden, 1994 by Mia. Until 1998 the band contained only female members, but with the loss of drummer Karin the band had to settle with a male drummer for the years to come. In April 1997 the first demo was recorded, to be unofficially released as a cassette limited to 100 copies which included 3 own tracks and a cover of Venom's "In league with Satan".

After this demo the line-up changed to become the longest existing this far with Mia on vocals/guitars, Emma on guitars and Åsa handling the bass. In April 1999 the second demo was recorded at Los Angered Recordings with session-drums by Terror (Runemagick, Sacramentum, Deathwitch etc) and was released as a 3-track CDr called Demonic Women (also released as a 2-track 7" on red vinyl). In late 2000 Mojjo joined Dracena to play the drums and in September 2001 the third demo entitled Labyrinth of Darkness was released, again a CDr containing 3 tracks.

During these years Dracena played live with some more or less known bands such as Satanic Slaughter, Lord Belial, Ancient, Agathodaimon, Sacramentum...

In 2004 the only remainig member of Dracena, Mia, recorded the debut album Infernal Damnation, 8 tracks, and a cover of W.A.S.P's Animal (Fuck like a Beast) for the compilation-album to be released of Valhalla Records (Den) in 2005.

2006 the debut album was finally released in June, self-financed as Dracena still hasn't found any label to support the band. The W.A.S.P-tribute was also released on Codiac Records (Den) in May 2006.
